Every planet (including the gas giant that worked) had a weird watery texture along the entire surface and the rotation seemed fast? Much faster than the cloud layer at least.

That's strange. All planets do have the water texture across the entire surface, but the part on land should not be animating - its because the water normal map actually looks like rocks when not moving. I wonder why it's animating for the entire surface on your laptop. Hmm. I'll need to build the game on my other PC with stuff from GH to see whats up.
